🌍 Freight Forwarder – Rotterdam

At Alonso Forwarding The Netherlands we are looking for a Freight Forwarder (Maritime) to join our team in Rotterdam.

🎯 Your day-to-day will include:

• Coordinating ocean operations, ensuring accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Managing bookings with shipping lines, transport orders and follow-ups.
• Acting as the main contact for clients, carriers, and overseas agents, ensuring smooth and proactive communication.
• Coordinating shipments and documentation with shippers and agents at both origin and destination.
• Handling files from beginning to end: opening, documentation, purchase and sales provisions, invoicing and closing.
• Maintaining document control procedures and resolving any operational issues.

🔎 What we are looking for:

• 2–3 years’ experience in a freight forwarding company, ideally in ocean operations.
• Strong knowledge of the end-to-end documentation process in international trade.
• Confidence in dealing with shipping lines, clients, agents and service providers.
• A proactive, organized and result-driven professional with customer focus.
• Solid skills in digital tools and freight management systems.
• Fluent English (C1 level minimum) – part of the interview will be conducted in English.
